The late Grant Hart of Hüsker Dü
Like everybody else, I was extremely sad to learn of Grant Hart’s passing today and it had me thinking about his days in seminal punk band Hüsker Dü. So I decided to dig into my archives and scan some of my old, never-before published photos of Hüsker Dü playing NYC’s Peppermint Lounge on May 8, 1985 when the band were on the New Day Rising tour. These photos were supposed to go in the third edition of my fanzine called Task, along with an interview I did with Hüsker Dü. Unfortunately the zine never came out. These shots were taken from the best tour they ever did, at the absolute height of their powers! RIP Grant!
