On May 1st I photographed the Red Bull Music Academy’s “A Night of Improvised Round Robin Duets” at Brooklyn Masonic Temple, NY. The evening featured performances from (in order): Jameszoo, ?uestlove, Matana Roberts, Mary Halvorson, Thundercat, Julia Holter, Dosh, Roy Hargrove, James Chance (above right), Kim Gordon (above left), Andrew W.K., Bernie Worrell, Glenn Kotche, Erik Friedlander, Vijay Iyer, Robert Glasper, DJ Spinna, Don Byron, Andrew Bird and Joe Lovano. Photos from the show will be published by BrooklynVegan shortly.
